Chopper Spirals Uncontrollably into Palm Groves at Frequented Southern California Coast
A helicopter hovering near a crowded coastal beach abruptly commenced twirling wildly, eventually losing altitude and smashing into a line of palm groves as onlookers watched.
Videos shared on the internet capture the aircraft beginning to twirl over the beach then plunging towards the perimeter of the coast, where it ends up lodged among palms and a staircase close to the Pacific Coast highway.
Emergency Response Update
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five people were transported to a medical facility comprising two individuals who were in the aircraft and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” after the accident on that day.
Three individuals on the street were injured. Information on their condition were not yet released.
The reason for the accident was not immediately released.
